Two burning questions (and the answers) on many people's minds...
Q: How is my first name pronounced? A:
I tell people, "ONYA, as in rhymes with lasagna." Or
"Tanya without the T," or "Sonya without the S." It's the
Gaelic (Irish) version of Anne, and although that's not exactly the way
it should be pronounced, this seems to work best for most people. :-)
Q: How do you get the accent over my A, as
in Á? A: There are two ways this can be
done. In your word document (working from Microsoft word), go to
"insert," "symbols," then choose "Times New Roman"
and you will find the Á symbol to insert. The second way (which I usually use)
is to hold down your "alt" button, and then press the following
numbers on your number pad while holding down the alt button- 0193.
Give it a try, it works! (For Mac users, do "shift A" with "option E".)
