Welcome to collages by rosesandlace … my little space for artistic expression on the Internet. My photography collages, Sheltie collages, and rosesandlace photos have been taken with either my Olympus SP 500UZ digital camera or my Canon T2i DSLR camera.

All celebrity collages are made with photos provided by various George Clooney & U2 fans & fan websites - and/or from various media sites on the Internet. Copyrights of the photos used belong entirely to the original photographers ~ either amateur or professional. It is not my intent to infringe on anyone else’s work but rather to present art for viewing pleasure with these wonderful photos.

Humanitarian causes

close to my heart

It all started back in August 1989 when I discovered a bimonthly copy of Victoria Magazine at a newsstand. Victoria expressed the essence of my very being ~ femininity, flowers (especially roses), and a love of things from the turn of the century. Over the years I began to develop my own style of accessorizing and decorating ~ all based on ideas from times past as written and photographed for Victoria.

The rosesandlace logo for this web site is a scan of part of an inexpensive picture that I purchased at a department store and later had laminated. It became the inspiration for my Internet pseudonym. Unfortunately the photographer’s name does not appear anywhere on the picture, so I cannot give him/her credit for this lovely inspiration.

In the past 22 years I have dabbled in amateur photography. I admire and am inspired by the work of Ilene Allen, Betsy Cameron, Anne Geddes, Dana Morgenson, Toshi Otsuki, and Katheryn Gordon. And I enjoy creating photo collages on the computer … one can never have enough desktop wallpaper!

In my spare time I also enjoy gardening, walking, strolling our many ocean beaches, and spending time with my 2 Shelties. I take pleasure in reading Victoria Magazine (yes, it’s back), many Better Homes & Gardens special publications, Cottage Style, and Coastal Living magazines.
