Our Ministers:

The Rev. Mr. Chris Andrews, (OM), M. Div.

Rev. Chris Andrews joined the Brigus, Cupids, Georgetown Pastoral Charge July 1, 2010. Rev. Chris has been fulfilling his call to ministry on a full time basis since July 30, 2000. He was ordained May, 2007.

In terms of education, Rev. Chris has engaged in undergraduate studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and he has attained the Masters of Divinity degree at the Atlantic School of Theology. He has also been trained and certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a career which he had worked at for six very enjoyable years. Rev. Chris also spent almost eight years in total working with youth who have become involved with the Dept of Justice and Youth Corrections, as well as Children’s Protection Services at St. Johns, NL. His experiences include working with abused and abusive youth, violent youth offenders, developmentally delayed individuals and their families, as well as youth in crisis with emotional, psychological, and physical health issues.

Rev. Chris demonstrates a great love of all facets of ministry. He has a genuine love of people, and bringing a pastoral presence to the bedside or home of an individual in need. Pastoral care, which is one of his passions of ministry, generates great energy and a sense of the complete fulfillment of Christ’s ministry into his heart. He has an ability to develop an excellent rapport with people and enjoys working with people of all ages and circumstances. Rev. Chris has a great respect for the diverse and marvelous creation of God as is evident in people of all health levels (emotional and physical), genders, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or theologies, and personalities. After all is said and done, Rev. Chris’s favorite quote in ministry is "it’s all about Jesus".

Of course, another of the most important things in life for our minister is his commitment to, and love of his wife Nadine, and two sons Jonah and Jacob. Rev. Chris, Nadine, Jonah & Jacob are very thankful for the opportunity to live among the whole people of God. He is very excited over this new opportunity of Christian service for his family and himself

God is Good! Thanks be to God!
