My family's earliest known Dobson ancestor is Richard Dobson of Redcar, Yorkshire, England. We know nothing so far about his parentage or where he was born.

The Dobson Family History Group is engaged in ongoing research on the descendants of Richard and Margaret's son George, who immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1773. The extensive results of that research are pending public release.

This portion of my site will focus on our Dobson kin in England, most of whom descend from Richard's son John.

If you see any connections to your own family tree, we'd love to hear from you.
