Nobel Dream

I had a dream: They awarded me a Nobel Prize last night.

Apparently someone on the Nobel Prize Committee read a post in which I discussed some book. I guess he liked it and I guess the rest of the committee did also, because they awarded me the Nobel Prize for literature.

In due course, I hoped on a bus to Stockholm to collect my prize. But when they actually gave me the award, it became apparent that a mistake had been made. The Committee had mistaken me for the author of the book!

Anyway, I gave a dynamite acceptance speech and everyone agreed to just pretend that everything was as it should be.

Now ordinarily I don't give much credence to dreams but this one seemed familiar. I think that it's happened before...

Remember that Nobel Peace Prize back 2009? They gave it to that guy who gave some really good speeches about a new era of harmony and peace. He also gave a dynamite acceptance speech. And except for the odd miscreant, everyone seems to have agreed to just pretend that everything was as it should be.
