Stephen Poloz Favours Slavery

Stephen Poloz is Governor of The Bank of Canada. As such, he is well-paid and privileged to wield great influence on our befuddled politician's. Most recently, Stephen Poloz was telling our Pollie Wally's that young jobless people should get off their arse and work for free!

Apparently this genius of economics thinks that volunteering will help the jobless brush up their CV. Perhaps it will but I've found that doing work for free just marks you as one of those people who does unimportant work, ultimately, it degrades your standing. Indeed, if Stephen Poloz was just a volunteer, I doubt that he would even get a sideways glance from our Political Lords and Masters.

But let's give Stephen Economical-wonder-boy Poloz the benefit of the doubt. Let's say that some poor young sod actually does make himself more "marketable" by volunteering. That may make our young fella better able to compete for a job but it does nothing to increase the number of jobs.

Poloz is just another pusher of Schwarzeneggerian thinking. Only Poloz has a puny body to match his puny mind.

While Poloz is busy telling people to work for free, Scotia Bank is busy shedding employees. Do you see a pattern? The rich and powerful have always liked the idea of having a large pool of labour for a small number of jobs. The rich get really richer when everyone else is a slave!

The reason why our poor young people don't have a job is simple. Our bank-friendly economists persuaded our dopey Pollie Wally's to send our kids jobs offshore.

Then, to make things worse, those same devious economists started spouting that we need immigration to support our aging population --- and all we got for that was an aging population and more unemployed kids. With globalization and 7+ billion souls, there was never a shortage of people, just a shortage of resources with which to sustain them well.

Stephen Poloz helped screw the economy and now he's shifting the blame onto the underprivileged and powerless. Stephen Poloz is the worst type of bully. The time has come to outsource Poloz's job --- some poor, young, unemployed basement-dweller could hardly make a bigger hash of it.

Dear Pollie Wally,
I see that Stephen Poloz is advising that young jobless people should get off their arse and work for free!

Perhaps it will but I've found that doing work for free just marks you as one of those people who does unimportant work, ultimately, it degrades your standing. Indeed, if Stephen Poloz was just a volunteer economist, I doubt that he would even get a sideways glance from Parliament.

But let's give Stephen Poloz the benefit of the doubt. Let's say that some poor young sod actually does make himself more "marketable" by volunteering. That may make our young fella better able to compete for a job but it does nothing to increase the number of jobs.
