Another Lie: Statistics Canada Says "You're Rich"

Statistics Canada tells us The median net worth of Canadian family units was $243,800 in 2012, up 44.5% from 2005 and almost 80% more than the 1999 median of $137,000, adjusted for inflation.

The wealth increase is due to the rise of real estate. The house didn't become 40% more plush. The backyard didn't become 40% bigger.

You pay more for the same thing. In my book, that's inflation.

Of course, the bwankers find it very convenient to rebadge property inflation as wealth growth.
