my quilts are machine pieced and hand quilted using only the best
materials. If you have ever wanted a quilt either for yourself or for a

There are
many choices, and questions to ask yourself before we start creating your
quilt. For example, what size of a quilt are you interested in having created,
what pattern would you like, the colours, where will the quilt go, will
it be used, or will it hang on a wall or over a chair.
Once we
have
the quilts particulars iron out its time for a trip to the fabric shop.
Picking out the fabric is essential for getting the quilt that is right
for you. Fabric is everything with a quilt, the right look, the right feel
will makes it special. I will go with you if you like to the fabric shop
and together we will pick the fabrics, and materials needed to construct
your quilt. You take care of the cost of the materials and
pay me for my time to design and construct your quilt. Main materials needed
are fabric, thread, and batting.

way you wanted it to fit.
Average
time needed to construct a quilt varies dependent upon the size and complexity
of the design but you will be given a tentative time frame when to expect
your quilt so that if it's a gift it will arrive in time |

Photo fabric cloth paper sheets times 4. Material is cotton poplin.
Blue border
is silk and cotton blend, backing is cotton.
Machine
quilted using multi coloured thread, roses have glitter thread as an accent.

How
the rose quilt wall hanging above was created:
I took a picture
of the roses with my digital camera, then using my computer with photo
shop the image was edited and altered. The picture was printed on the photo
fabric paper. Image was on 4 separate sheets of cloth paper, so the pieces
had to be sewn together to make one picture. Blue border is a silk/cotten
blend with a cotton backing. It was then machine quilted. Accents
quilted using sparkle thread over the roses. Border of rose petals outlined
in black thread, quilted with multi coloured thread. |

Portraits
I am now designing
and quilting portraits of people, be it a picture taken of a special event
such as a anniversary, birthday etc. or maybe you have that special and
treasured picture of a loved one you have always wanted enlarged. Once
you have decided that you would like to have a quilted portrait made the
first step is picking that photograph. You can also use practically any
picture even of a building or how about a quilted business sign? I will
use that to make the wall hanging. Price for a portrait wall hanging is
$50. On the below wall hanging the image size is a 8 by 10.

Pet
Quilted Portraits/larger wall hangings and or a lap quilt of your pet.
Do you have
that special pet in your life? Have you ever given any thought to having
a one of a kind quilt made in their honour? Either you can take your pets
picture or I can take it for you. Then I take that photograph and make
it into a lap quilt or wall hanging. Price is dependent upon quilt size.
Sm. - $50, Lg. $100. Quilt is complete with a hanger on the back so that
it can be hung on the wall, pets name and picture. Machine quilted, binding
is done by hand. |
