1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed. An auxiliary tank MUST be no further
forward than the rear of the front seat.
2. Auxiliary gas tanks MUST be securely fastened. NO bungee cords, wood,
or rope can be used.
3. Fire shield MUST be placed between the driver and the tank. Fire
shield is a non-flammable material securely fastened around the tank,
completely covering the tank, to keep gas from splashing on the driver if it
should rupture. The back of the rear seat will serve as a fire shield if the
tank is mounted in the trunk. However, any and all holes in the rear ledge
MUST be covered.
4. ABSOLUTELY NO one (1) gallon or five (5) gallon carrying cans (gas
cans) are allowed to be used for auxiliary tanks. The auxiliary tank MUST be
made of steel or neoprene and MUST have gas line fittings in place. NO lines
can be jammed in through a hole and sealed. A securely installed fitting
will be acceptable.
5. Any fuel leakage will lead to immediate disqualification. Electrical
fuel pumps are permitted, but must have a fuel shut off switch within driver
reach.
6. ALL glass MUST be removed (not smashed out). This includes all outside
mirrors, taillights, headlights, and windshields. Any broken glass MUST be
removed from the car. Rolling the windows down is NOT acceptable.
7. Safety glasses, goggles or face shield MUST be worn. Approved safety
helmets MUST also be worn. (D.O.T. approved with chin straps.)
8. Chrome mouldings, antenna, sun-visors, and dangerous objects MUST be
removed.
9. Approved seat belts are required. (Original Manufacturers Equipment)
10. NO roll cage or supporting bars are allowed inside cars.
11. Only one (1) automotive type battery is permitted and it may be
located in any position in the car. Battery MUST be securely fastened and
covered.
12. It is recommended the engine mounts be chained, wired, or welded
down.
13. Radiator and transmission cooler MUST remain in original position OR
be removed.
14. NO cutting front bumper ends. Fenders may be cut for wheel clearance
ONLY.
15. Cars MUST be CLEANED OF ALL DEBRIS prior to coming to the track.
16. All cars MUST have brakes.
17. All entries MUST have a 24" diameter hole in the hood around the
carburetor.
18. All doors MUST be securely fastened by chain, wire, or welded.
19. The drivers' door MAY be reinforced on the outside using plate steel,
or grader blades. Reinforcing material MUST NOT extend more than one foot
ahead of or behind the drivers' door.
20. Hood may be fastened down in four places. Trunk or tailgate may be
fastened in four places. Wire or chain (no bigger than 1/4") may be
through each hole. NO bolts, pins or washers can be used. NO welds on hood,
truck or tailgate.
