* Balance and Box the Gnat: join right hands, balance forward and back, lady 
turn left under hand hold while gent turn right, each turn half around to exchange

Swing Into Spring

   Begin the dance with everyone facing their corner and thus looking up or down the hall.
Music:  "Come and See Me" on Lloyd Shaw 336 slowed to 120 b/m or "Love in the 
Country" on Red Boot Star 1301

A2  (8)  Ladies Dosado 1 1/2
      (8)  Partner Swing (again end facing in with the lady on the right)

Notes:  After the Circle Left 3/4 Couples should be facing up or down the lines.  
With the dancer they are facing Balance forward and touch, back and touch, Pull 
By in four steps. Repeat with Left hand.  Dancers at the ends of the contra lines 
turn to face partner for the Left hand Balance and Pull By.

Halifax Hornpipe

Music: "Fancy Hornpipe-Quindaro-Scotch Hornpipe" on Any Jig or Reel CD

      (8)  Actives Swing partner in center
A2  (8)  Down the hall four in line (6 steps) 
      (8)  Right Lady High, Left Lady Under, other man U-Turn, Come Back
          The active gent and the two ladies reverse their facing direction  
          without letting go by using a double arch with Gents right hand high.)

B1  (8)  Circle Left  (Gent on the end move in to make the Circle)
      (8)  Ladies Chain
B2  (8)  Star Left    (Maintain the left handhold and reach in to make the star.)
      (8)  Star Right  (Cross at the ends)

Note:  The original Nova Scotian has only three dancers go down the hall.

Harvest Time Contra

*Half Poussette: Facing Dancers (Partners in this case) join both hands and the 
ladies push forward and slightly to their right until the ladies are back-to-back.  
Ladies slide back-to-back then pull their partner back into line the two long lines.

Maritime Victory
