I am a mother of two & run an in-home daycare during the day. My son is in Scouts & my daughter is in Cubs. I have been with 8th Sackville for 6 years. 4 of those years as a beaver leader & now registrar & vice on group committee. I enjoy working with Scouting because it is so rewarding to see the youth grow throught the program. They get so much out of it.
I have been involved with the Scouting movement for 10 years; first as a parent, then as a parent helper on campouts, events, etc., then as Group Commissioner (for the 5 years) to currently on as Resource. I have two children my son was in the scouting movement for 9 years. My daughter was in Guiding for 9 years as well. Although never a youth member, I have found over the past years (as an adult) to have been some of my most rewarding to date.
I am a mother of 2 sons Nick 20 yrs and Matt 15 yrs. I have been involved with 8th Sackville Group since Nick was 5yrs old and a Beaver. I have held various positions with the group like parent volunteer, Beaver Leader, Cub Leader and presentlyTreasurer for the group.
Both of my sons have benefited from this group due to the dedicated Leaders & Parents. I love to participate in all those fun camps as well.
I have been involved with 8th Sackville since its inception 25 years ago, first as an Akela, Venturer Leader and now Group Committee. I am married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Scouting has been important to me and my family.
