Chris Faulkner's passion for waterfowl began at a very young age,
pursuing ducks and geese through the marshes and bays of Canada's
smallest province Prince Edward Island. Chris later went on to
work on numerous wetland and research projects with the Dept.
of Fish & Wildlife then the Canadian Wildlife Service doing waterfowl
research. Chris began Faulkner Waterfowl Calls in 1992 combining
his love for waterfowl hunting and his skills as a craftsman.
Chris takes his call-making very seriously, his desire was to
create a line of calls that could do it all, in any hunting situation,
be easy to master and comfortable to use. Most important of all
was to be absolutely accurate through the full range of sound.
Chris makes all of his calls by hand, in addition he designed
and makes all of his own sound components using modern synthetics.
Combining the natural sound qualities of wood with synthetic precision
sound parts his calls perform under any situation. The internal
design of each call allows for moisture to escape from the reed
area, thus avoiding the problem of "sticking" that plagues so
many other calls. Whether you desire a call for hunting, competition
or collecting you will not go wrong with a Faulkner call |
