LAKE ECHO & DISTRICT
FIRE DEPARTMENT

Welcome to Lake Echo on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore. Lake Echo is a medium sized composite fire department serving in the Halifax Regional Municipality. We are a rural department, bordering on an urban centre of the province's capital. We provide emergency service in fire suppression, medical first response, entrapment rescue and much more. Since 1973 the citizens of Lake Echo and its surrounding communities have volunteered their time and talents to help their neighbours when misfortune befalls them. Since its beginning the department has strived to improve its service through training and improving equipment to achieve what we have today.
We invite you to explore this site so you can get to know who we are and the kind if service we strive to provide anyone who calls us. Thank you for your attention and I hope you enjoy your experience in scenic Lake Echo.
