Employment

My Profession is an Accountant who has been employed in both the Retail and Wholesale Sales Market as well as in the Consulting business, with experiance prior to this in working over sixteen years in a Woven Plastics manufacturing plant atmosphere and spent over twenty years involved in the fishing Industry working for N.S.P. throughout the Atlantic Provinces. We all know the current plight of the East Coast Fishing Industry in general with numerous claims about the "overfishing" by the big multi-national companies. The whole unemployment situation; created both by the current state of our country's economy combined with the excessive downsizing by such a large number of corporations; has placed a large number of unemployed people into a daily routine of having to perform a constant "Job Search." The following sites may be of assistance in your search:

  • Selected Job Openings listed in the Human Resources Centres ( the Canadian HRDC Site updated daily )
  • Atlantic Canada Careers Site.
  • The Halifax Chronicle Hearld Job Press Classifieds ( Daily Employment Ads maintained by the Hearld )

The RESUME is the main item that you have to prepare and maintain to ensure all pertinent details are kept up to date so you can apply for that advertised Position Opening. You have to convey your abilities to the prospective employer. Check out Han-Jul Technologies to arrange and have your Resume prepared.
