Exhibit
Frontier College, a national literacy organization, commissioned a traveling exhibition to mark its 110th anniversary in 2009. Frontier College began by sending labourer-teachers into the lumber camps, railway camps and mines of Canada’s frontier, where they worked alongside the crews and in the evenings taught them reading and writing.
Today, through volunteers and community partners across the country, Frontier College delivers free literacy programs to children, youth and adults.
