seen here with friends - some of my papier mâché rod puppets:

Some of the stars from
'Everybody Has a Dream'

I usually make Rod Puppets and occasionally marionettes. They are constructed from a variety of materials such as cloth, wood, papier mâché, plastic pipe and other things found around the house.

I conduct workshops covering all stages of puppet creation and performance. We start with soggy newsprint and a group of eager puppeteers and end up with a play.

Some examples are:
La Forêt Fabuleuse des Fêtes - Hawthorne Elementary School; Crichton Park School, Dartmouth

Everybody Has a Dream - Christmas play, Halifax

Earth Festival Play - 1996 Earth Day Festival, Halifax

Jenni's Puppet Links

Strings, Springs & Finger Things - A really great site about the Canadian Museum of Civilization's puppet exhibit

The Merten / McKay Puppetry Collection, Ontario - A great resource for puppetry and related books.
