Why use "Simply Kate's" Homemade Soap?

Correctly made and cured homemade soap is much milder than anything you can buy!

One of the benefits of homemade soap is that it still contains glycerin, a natural humectant, that is a product of the chemical reaction between lye and oils in soapmaking. The production of glycerin is a natural occurrence in homemade soap and moisturizes the skin. The commercial bar you'll find in your grocery aisle is probably NOT soap, but a synthetic detergent bar that may cleanse by harshly stripping away the skin's protective oils. Additionally, commercially made soap has salts and other harsh chemicals added to extract the glycerin as it is desirable and sold for other purposes.

My homemade soaps are made with a balanced combination of oils and fats that produce a rich lather & are pure and fresh, containing absolutely no harmful ingredients, making it kinder to your skin than commercial soaps. My soap offers superb skin cleansing and conditioning along with all the benefits of a natural moisturizer!

All of my homemade soaps are handmade from start to finish - that includes mixing, cutting, curing, and even packaging! My homemade soap is made in small, controlled batches by the cold process method to ensure a quality product that cannot be commercially duplicated. I believe this is very important as the effort put into producing the soap demonstrates the high quality of the product. These soaps are cut by hand and you will find the soap has a slightly irregular look all its' own and no two bars are exactly alike. My soaps will last longer than commercially store bought soap and will leave you with smooth, clean, and moisturized skin! Your skin will immediately respond to its goodness and you will wonder why you ever used anything different!

*How to Care for your Homemade Soap*

Homemade soaps need the air to stay firm and keep their shape. Do not store your beautiful soap in plastic bags or containers. It is best not to let your soap sit in a dish that collects water. Like all soaps, your homemade soap will last longer if it is allowed to dry between uses.
