Birthplace: Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India. After a sojourn in Europe, Shalom immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada!

My number-1 brother and a school teacher, M. Linga Murty MSc BEd with his wife, Parijatha MBA, visiting the famous Brindavan Gardens at Mysore, India. Parijatha is the head of HR at a major hospital in New Delhi, India.

My number-2 brother and architect, M.B. Ravi Kumar BArch, with his wife (also an architect) during his wedding ceremonies; also visible is my mother. He and his wife are also the owners of MANDAVILLE DESIGNS INC., an award winning architectural firm.

My younger sister and physicist, M. Raj Lakshmi PhD, making a presentation at the renown Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, India. Her husband, H.R. Krishnamurthy, is a Professor of Physics at that university now. They visit the USA often when he is on a sabbatical. He acquired his PhD at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.

My late parents (during the 1990's). My father, M.R. Rao BSc(Hons) DIISc, was an accomplished electronics and telecommunications engineer in his younger days and carried out some applied research in ionospheric wave propagation when India was a British Colony decades back!

My maternal grandfather, the late K. Butchi Raju, was a businessman in jaggery and hesian cloth. He is seen here addressing a community meeting in Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India

The late Korukonda Linga Murty was the brother of my maternal grandfather and was considered as our second maternal grandfather! He was a great humanitarian and established several institutions inclusive of the AMAL College in my birth town, Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India!

The late Kalaprapurna Dr. Korukonda Subba Raju MBBS, a medical doctor and the only brother of my mother. My uncle was a philanthropic medical doctor and humanist!
