PUPPY PLANS

Maggi Puppy

Brie had her first litter, and the first for Whitepoint in 10 years in June 2011. Photos are on my Facebook album (you do not need a Facebook account to view the album).

The next litter may be in fall 2012 - check back for updates..

Interested in a puppy? Please fill out this PDF questionnaire and return it to me, so that I may learn more about you. It is a fillable PDF, so you can either fill it out electronically and email it back, or send it by post.

Contact me either by e-mail (preferred) with your questions, or phone and leave a message at (902) 429-0186.

Your Toller puppy will provide you with years of loving companionship, fun, and occasional frustration.  Tollers are intelligent, active, fun loving, quirky, and, to the initiated, totally irresistible.

Dr. Eric Carnegy (Carnegy Animal Hospital) has been our veterinarian since 1990, and has provided professional care for every Whitepoint litter to date. He thoroughly examines each puppy at the time of microchip implantation and first immunization.

All puppies are sold under written contract, sent to you in advance for your information, and signed by both parties when you pick up your puppy.  I am pleased to answer your questions concerning the contract prior to the pick-up date.

I only want the right home for each pup.  Puppies are not sold on a first come first serve basis, but rather a “best fit”.  Puppy placement is based on buyer requirements and family situation, and puppy temperament and structure evaluations.  Having lived with the litter since birth, I usually have a good idea which pup will be best for which family.

Puppies are for life, not for Christmas, birthday gifts, etc., and should never be given as a surprise. The future owner of the pup is the one whose signature must be on the contract.  I provide a written health guarantee against known inherited diseases.  All Tollers used in my breeding program are OVC, OFA or Penn Hip certified free of Hip Dysplasia, CERF cleared of inherited eye disease and either Optigen PRA/CEA tested and certified to be unaffected by these disorders, or cleared by parentage.  Facsimiles of all certifications will be provided.

I require a $200.00 deposit (NON-refundible in the event of buyer default), due when the puppies are three weeks old. This assures me of the sincere interest of the buyer. The deposits are used for the continued care of the bitch and her litter, and to re-advertise the puppy (in the event of buyer default) and for additional longer term expenses.

Puppies can go to their new homes after they are at least 7 weeks old.  I will not ship outside Canada and the continental US.  My preference is that puppies are picked up in person.  Please bring a suitable sized crate for the puppy to travel in for the trip home, either in your vehicle or as carry-on by air.  I will only ship puppies as cargo by direct flights.  All shipping costs, including transportation to and from Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and a shipping crate are the responsibility of the buyer.

If for any reason you find you must give up your Toller, the contract specifies you must notify me before doing so.

A lot of thought, care, and effort has gone into the breeding and early raising of your Toller puppy.  Whitepoint is a very small hobby kennel, devoted to breeding happy healthy Toller puppies that will give their new families the same enjoyment and companionship that my Tollers give to me.  It is not my intention to see my puppies off to their new homes only to forget about them.  Please contact me at any time with your thoughts, questions, comments, worries, or boasts.
