ANSWERSTHATWORK This is the first place I go when my computer starts acting up. This site provides the visitor with some critical insights into the inner working of your PC. Check out the Libraries of Answers That Work. All this stuff is free but you have the option of parting with $35.00(US$) each year to become a member. I joined last year and intend to join again this year. As a registered user you have access by email to one or more of the "resident experts" covering just about every dicipline you can imagine. I have used this service on three occasions and in each case I have received a prompt response. The best part is they leave out the "techno-speak". |

HTML CODE TUTORIAL The best all round HTML tutorial site I have found so far! Use the menu on the welcoming page to look at various function or select the HTML Quick List and see an alphabetical list of the available tags. This site has been the basis for almost all of my code work because I do not use any HTML software. Everything I do is written with NOTEPAD |

RGB COLOR GUIDE A lot of the RGB reference sites I found seem to lean towards the darker shades. This page, however, offers some color selections that are a little easier on the eyes.In addition, they offer the largest selction I have come across with over 860 colors. Each colors includes a name, color swatch, RGB values as well as the hexidecimal value for HTML. For those who didn't know - RGB stands for (R)ed (G)reen (B)lue |

GRISOFT Tired of paying through the nose for anti-virus software? Visit this site and consider downloading their product. I have been using this product for two years now and have been recommending it to whoever listens. They offer a free home version (Version 6.0) which has the basic user interfaces and reporting/scheduling functions. In my humble opinion the free version beats the hell out of stuff you are probably paying for right now. If you like this software, bring it to the attention of those people responsible for your office computer security. They offer a network/lan systems at an exceptional price. |

ANALOGX While I was looking for server to host a page on my own computer I stumbled across this site. You will find lots of stuff here. I am using the SIMPLE SERVER to host a page (http://mjpliv.servehttp.com - if my computer is turned on)for the fun of it. Poke around in this website, there is something for everyone. |

EFTP I also found this while looking for server software to play with. EFTP (stands for Encrypted File Transfer Protocol) is a fully functional server and client package for the home user. The installation allows the user to install either the client side, server side or both. Very simple setup and secure. One of the good features is the ability to monitor and control access remotely. Create individual usernames, passwords, privilages and folder rights. |

XITAMI Still another server package. This one is an open source server. Using a web based administration interface even a novice can have a full blown server on their home PC. This one supports common CGI, HTTP, FTP, Webmail with complete logging support. I played with it for a while but it is a bit much for my old computer. It would be ideal if someone wanted to install it on a stand-alone, dedicated PC. |
