We are a group of Jewish and grafted-in non-Jewish believers in the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew). Messianic Jews have not stopped being Jewish. On the contrary, we have continued to remain strongly Jewish in our identity, lifestyle, and belief that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah and the fulfillment of true Biblical Judaism.

We support Israel and are pro-life.
We also believe we should keep the Biblical dietary laws as outlined in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14; also the Biblical family purity laws (niddah) as outlined in Leviticus 12:2-4 and Leviticus 15.

Jesus never intended to start a new religion. He came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, how could we, as Jewish people, by accepting the Jewish Messiah, become non-Jews? On the contrary, we believe that Yeshua fulfilled our Jewish heritage and faith.

As well as providing a place for Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua to fellowship together and praise the L-rd in Spirit and in Truth, we at Ner Tamid are also called to teach the Jewish roots of the Christian faith to the Local Church. This is accomplished through Ner Tamid Messianic Outreach, the road ministry of Congregation Ner Tamid, where we present "CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER" demonstrations in churches throughout Eastern Canada and Northeastern U.S. "CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER" shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Messiah as the Lamb of G-d. This sermonic demonstration is visual, so the congregation will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items. We use Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Yeshua. The words He spoke in the upper room come alive as each item is carefully explained. Many churches finish this powerful presentation by celebrating communion, and most who have tell us that "CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER" has deepened their church's communion experience.
