| This NEW executive 4 bedroom summer home offers over 1500 square feet of living area and 200 ft of water frontage. It is the ideal escape for 2 families or extended families, with an excellent sandy beach for swimming, beachcombing, kayaking and clam digging. This cottage offers a nautical theme and showcases local crafts.

| From your front deck you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Annandale Harbour and fishing village. You may even catch a glimpse of a seal! The location is very peaceful, private and secluded and a haven for water fowl. Two of the guest rooms offer views of the ocean.

Launching is located in Eastern PEI, just 20 minutes east of Montague and 20 minutes west of Souris. Eastern PEI offers breathtaking scenery, natural beauty, pristine beaches, and some of the best golf courses in the world including the Links at Crowbush Cove, Dundarave and Brudenell River Golf Courses. Basin Head and Panmure Island are among the top rated beaches on Prince Edward Island are also close by.

I'm Sean Durfy - father of the namesake of the beach cottage you are considering renting this summer. I built this cottage for my daughter - Kennedy - so she could spend a few precious weeks of the year in surroundings that are absolutely perfect. I also built the cottage and landscaped it to be handi-accessible - so my nephew Willie J. - who is confined to a wheelchair - could enjoy the sweet smells and sounds of the ocean with his cousin.
We live in Calgary, so when I told my wife, Tracy, that I wanted to build a beach cottage off the warm waters of the Northumberland Straight in PEI - her first comment was, "That is a long way to go to dip your toe in the ocean!!" I told her I wanted Kennedy to experience what Atlantic Canada was all about - the culture, the music, the food and the gorgeous sunsets over the water! I wanted Kennedy to have memories of a place that is truly special - peaceful and stunningly beautiful.
We spent our first vacation at the cottage in September of last year. Kennedy had a chance to explore the beautiful beach and sandspit right outside the door. She was squirted in the face by her first clam - but justice was swift, as she enjoyed the clam boil-up that night!! She tasted her first PEI french fry at the Basin Head beach and sat on her first lobster trap that we bought across the bay at the fishing village in Annendale. There were many outings to the wonderful craft stores between Montague and Souris - Kennedy picked most of the crafts you will see in our cottage (and there are a lot). But the most amazing thing to me was how she loved to stare at the water - and this year she will be swimming!!!
And what was Tracy's verdict? Well, I remember sitting on the deck and looking through the morning haze across the harbour at the fishing village. Tracy sipped her coffee and said to me - "I now know why you wanted to build this for her - it is beautiful."
I'm not a romantic or one for gushy sentiment, but my mind and soul continue to rush back to the beautiful red sand beach, warm current and scenic beauty of Kennedy's Room with a View! It is a special place for Kennedy, Tracy and I - so I hope you will stay here and enjoy it as much as we do!!

| The cottage is fully equipped with all linens, towels and cooking utensils. Beach towels and lawn chairs should be taken with you. CD's and DVD's can add to the enjoyment of your stereo system and summer evenings on the deck.

Once off the Confederation Bridge take the Trans Canada Highway East for aprox 50-60min to Charlottetown. |

From Charlottetown you will continue east and cross the Hillsborough Bridge, Continue on the Trans Canada highway until you get to Cherry Valley aprox 15 min.

Once you get to Cherry Valley you are going to take a left onto highway #3 and travel towards Pooles Corner aprox 30 minutes. |

Once you get to Pooles corner you will take a left onto #4 and travel 14km to Primrose you see a sign that Reads "Launching Place". |

Take a right onto route 311 (Primrose Road) and travel aprox 11.8 km. |

You will see a sign on your left that reads "Beach Road" take this road and drive for aprox 200 ft and take your next left (currently there is no sign on this road- it is called Long Wharf Road) and travel almost to the end of the Road and turn right onto Sandspit Lane and take first driveway on left. You will now be at Kennedy's Room with a View. Relax, have fun and enjoy!! |
