IMPORTANT , Please read There were two brothers who lived in Greenfield, Queens County, N.S. One of them had a very popular name, Robert, while the other had an unusual name, Malachi. The information that joins them as brothers comes from descendants of Robert's in Greenfield. In 1845 two men, William Robart and Robert Lord bought a pieces of land in Greenfield. According to church marriage records, William Robart married Martha Lord. In the 1871 census, Catherine Lloyd, age 70, was living with William and Martha Robar, in Greenfield. In 1881 census, Catherine Lloyd was living with Robert Lloyd, in Greenfield. According to church records, Robert and Catherine Lord, had 4 children, two of whom were Malachi and Martha (I didn't find Robert's (Malachi's brothers) birth record). There is a family bible from the Robert Lloyd (Malachi's brother) family, however, I have been unsuccessful in obtaining access to it, to see if there is any evidence as to a name change from Lord to Lloyd. Someday I hope to be granted access to the bible. Although, there well could have been two families, a Lord and a Lloyd family with corresponding dates, children and church records, I somehow doubt that two such families exist. From this information listed here, I have concluded that our ancestor could well have been Robert Lord, whose father came in Lunenburg in 1783 from New Haven, CT. I am still not totally convinced that these conclusions are correct, however, I have the listed the information as I have found it and I reserve the right to change my mind when more evidence becomes available.
