Tips for successfully using your GPS
Before
every new trip
- Take spare batteries
- Clear the track log,

Set track record method to "Auto
- Set your map datum or it will default to WGS84,
- Set GPS North to "Magnetic North".
*Remember to create a waypoint at your “start” location.
During the trip

Check battery power off and on
- Create waypoints along your route

Verity your position on a map if you have one
After each trip

Stop Navigating.
- Reset the Trip Computer
- Clear the Track Log unless you want to save it as a route.
- Clear all unneeded waypoints.
Before downloading them to the desktop PC

Set the GPS datum to WGS84

Delete unnecessary routes.
- Disable NMEA output when you want to download waypoints or
tracks from
your GPS receiver to the mapping software on your desktop
computer.
