For more than 35 years, Busy Bee Day Care has been the Eastern Shore's

Company Profile
Busy Bee Day Care is a government approved and licensed private Day
Care serving the Halifax County, Nova Scotia area.
Since 1960 Fran 'Mrs. Bee' Bellefontaine has been educating
children. Fran received her education through the Nova Scotia
Teacher's College and Dalhousie and Mount Saint Vincent Universities. From 1960 -1971 she went
on to teach in several area schools. She opened Busy Bee
Nursery School in 1974, and in 1985 the first Busy Bee Day Care was built
and opened in Lake Echo. A Porter's Lake location soon followed in 1989
with Busy Bee Lawrencetown opening in 1995, and Busy Bee Eastern Passage
in 1998.
Her love of children and teaching has been passed on to her own and extended
family. Busy Bee has now spanned 3 generations of the 'Bee'llefontaine
family.
We look forward to serving the community and providing quality early
childhood education for another 35 years.
