Shoreside Service is owned by Luke Porter. Luke has been working in the marine repair industry for 13 years, mostly in the Halifax area. He has had a hand in all areas of boat repair, from polishing and bottom painting to major structural repair and full boat painting. He has dealt with old boats, new boats, commissioning, decommissioning, shipping, deliveries, pleasure, commercial, power, sail, big and small.
Luke has been sailing since childhood and has logged many miles both cruising and racing, inshore and off-shore including a trans-Atlantic. He has sailed in many parts of the world in many different boats, fiberglass and wood, sail and power. He has his RYA Yachtmaster Offshore.
Luke is active in the local racing scene and also teaches Seamanship Sail for the CPS Halifax Squadron.
Anyone that visits the Shoreside Service facility or the mobile team will also meet the Tucker, Health & Safety Rep (top) and Gracy, Head of Security (bottom). This pair take their jobs quite seriously and are always on hand to keep an eye on things.
