Home Made Wheeled Portager

Home Made Wheeled Portager

Was going for an ultimate cache that required a 1km portage to get to the lake, so I made my own Wheeled Portager. I bought a dolly and cut it up. I cut off the top, then the bottom plate. Place my wooden guide on the portager and portager on the canoe/kayak. Flip it on it's wheels and away you go. Place it so it's well balanced and no load is on your arm. Now you can use one arm to pull it along with all your gear inside. Portage trail does have to be fairly decent.

It comes apart and gets stored on the kayak with wheels and axle inside.

Here's my canoe/kayak trailer for my quad
