A Maritime Christmas:
New Stories and Memories of the Season
Join myself and over 20 Maritime writers as we share stories and memories of Christmas with a combination of memoir and short fiction. My contribution is a nifty short story entitled Shotgun Christmas. I can guarantee you that this story starts with a bang and goes downhill fast, and will definitely leave you thinking. I'm darned proud of this little story in that it gave me the courage to further pursue my Maritime fiction.

Gypsy Blood, Steve Vernon's very first full length hardcover novel will be available from Five Star in July 2008. GYPSY BLOOD rolls like an avalanche of skateboards as Carnival - a Gypsy fortune teller and occult trouble shooter falls in love with a two-timing vampire. The book culminates in a climactic Battle Royal between Carnival, the vampire, a mothering she-demon, a social climbing blood god, the collective spirit of the city and a merceneary mariachi band riding into battle in a propane rickshaw!

Leftovers is Steve Vernon's newest novella. It is a story of a homeless priest turned vigalante who finds himself taking care of an abused boy and how the two of them make peace with their fate. One of my nastiest.

Bobby Kaye’s life story started and ended with an e-mail and then the monkey dung hit the fan. We’re talking blue plague monkeys, tulwar-swinging cab drivers, a ride-on mower caravan of unbridled mass consumption and a moon-infatuated eight-legged story-telling spider god going toe-to-toe-to-toe-toe with the merciless scud-spear wielding Nigerian spam genie – Prince Wakanda Wanna! This is Steve Vernon's latest novella and one of his wildest rides yet.

Tabloid Terrors #2 - Nessie Tried To Pimp My Wife is a rather wet collection of off-color sea-beast stories. Not recommended for young folk. I have one story in this collection - a new Captain Nothing tale in which Captain Nothing locks horns with a kelpie. If you dig smutty, off-color, graphic horror fish tales - this might be the one for you.
