On the afternoon of April 17, 2009 from noon until three pm at Carrefour Atlantic Emporium, (the bookstore at Historic Properties - you know the one with the big folk art Pierre Trudeau standing at the door), come and join Steve Vernon for the first official signing of his do-it-yourself ghost tour Halifax Haunts: Exploring the City's Spookiest Spaces. On April 20, 2009 myself and local folklorist/musician Clary Croft will be putting on a Ghosts and Beer event at The Frigate, the bar beneath the Pogue Fado. The event will start at 7pm and go to at least 9pm. I'll be telling and reading stories from my Halifax Haunts: Exploring the City's Spookiest Spaces and Clary Croft will be sharing a few tales from the brand new edition of Helen Creighton's Bluenose Ghosts. This location is particularly apt as the library is one of the sites documented in the collection. Come and find out why the library is reputed to be haunted.
