- Messy
Church
Theme this
time is "MESSY CHRISTMAS"
Planned for December 17th from 10:30
am until 12:30 pm in the Church Hall. This is a well planned children's
workshop with crafts, worship time and
it centers around fun, food and
fellowship. We gather at Saint Peter’s Anglican Church Hall,
10030 Peggy’s Cove Road, Hackett's Cove.
No church affiliation is necessary. Rev. Anna has secured the services
of Diane Buckle as event coordinator. Please RSVP so we can ensure
enough food and supplies for all. Diane's Contact is : Diane at

- Stitchin' Time
This program, which has been very successful in years past, meets
at St. Peter's Church Hall on Mondays starting up again in the Spring
from 9:30 am - noon exact date to be announced once determined. Bring along your stitching project whether new,
current or long-neglected. Share your skills and perhaps learn
something new in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Cost: $2 per day
with coffee and tea available for .50 cents (bring your own mug). For

On going book sales
Located in the Basement at St. Peter's Church Hall is a wealth of new
to you reading material, novels, puzzles, how to books, and games.
This is a must see for the avid reader lots of hard cover books available.
We have started to open up on 20th of May and will continue every second
Saturday until late September. Mark you calendars if your on the hunt
for that new to book, we have a new section opened up with lots of books to
choose from. Whenever you see the church open
(most Sundays of course) please drop in to browse around and select some
reading material. New donations of books etc. are greatly accepted.

arrangements to browse thru the books.
- Bible
Study
Bible study is currently suspended as there is not sufficient interest in
this group at the present time. Rector in consultation with the
Spiritual Development Committee will revisit this if they feel there is a
need to resume in the Spring. Any questions or comments on this issue
can be raised with the Rector at any time please call 823-2624. EVERYONE IS WELCOME !!
- Sacrament of Baptism or Confirmation
Interested in Baptism or Confirmation? Contact the
Parish Office @ 823-2624
Please allow time for preparation. Your wish for the Baptism to take
place in a specific church will be met whenever possible. The Bishop recommends that the age
of Confirmation will normally be 15 or higher but special permission has
been given to begin at 13.
- Medical Equipment
Available
St. Peter's Church has available for use (parishioners or non
parishioners) a set of crutches and 1 small and 1 large wheel chairs in good
shape. These are available to be loaned out on an as needed basis for
anyone in need of any of this equipment. Please contact Rev. Anna Hoeg
@ 823-2624 she will put you in touch with the right contact person.

Plant Sale
This years plant sale was a great success and although no
plans are in place yet for the next one it will likely happen again in the
spring of 2012 as details become available they will be posted on this site. Remember
when planning your spring planting season to dig out and save some cuttings
to share with gardeners who will be looking for those bargains.
- Parish Choir
There is an interest in forming
a Parish Choir that will travel from Church to Church usually attending the
10:30 am service each week. This is still in the planning stages and
needs membership to get off the ground. If you are interested in
learning more or helping out please contact Leonard Hollett @ 823-2049
or simply speak to a current choir member for some direction. Music is
the focal point in our Sunday Services and it is certainly still very much a
work in progress. We really need your support!
- Card Game
Socials
If a friendly game of 45's intrigues you mark these dates on your calendar
and plan to attend. They are generally
held on the 3 Saturday of each month, starting at 7:30 PM. Lunch will
be served after the games and prizes are awarded. Please tell your
friends because everyone is welcome. Proceeds support the Parish.

- Pancake Supper
for Fat Tuesday
The Spiritual Development Committee (formerly known as The Program
Committee) will be offering a Pancake Supper for Fat Tuesday, February 21st
2012 at St. Peter's Hall from 4:30-6:00 pm Pancakes and sausage with
your choice of coffee, tea or juice. Come on out and enjoy the food
and fellowship!!
