Lesson Packages Available
"Welcome to Duplicate Bridge"is a seven lesson package that helps aspiring duplicate bridge players modernize their bidding and learn to communicate accurately with their partners.
The seven topics are as follows: An Overview of Bidding, Opening a No Trump Hand, Opening a Major Suit Hand, Opening a Minor Suit Hand, Strong/Weak Opening Hands, Blackwood/Gerber, and Lots of Doubles.
The"Welcome to Duplicate Bridge"also includes mini-lessons on the following topics: Boards and Bidding Boxes, Movements and Scoring, The Role of the Director, and The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL).
"Playing the Hand" is a six lesson package that helps duplicate bridge players improve their play of the hand as declarer and defender.
The six topics are as follows: Discards and Signals, Finessing, Playing No Trump Contracts, Playing Suit Contracts, Opening Leads Against No Trump Contracts, and Opening Leads Against Suit Contracts.
"The Convention Card" is a set of lessons that helps duplicate bridge players improve their knowledge of the convention card and various conventions needed to refine partnership bidding.
The topics are as follows: A Review of the Convention Card, Two Over One Game Forcing, Stayman and Puppet Stayman, Hlp Suit Game Try, Jacoby and Texas Transfers, Short Club Minor Openings, Inverted Minors, Splinters, Drury, Opening Two Clubs/Two No Trump, Weak Two Openings/Ogust, New Minor Forcing, Weak Jump Shifts, Fourth Suit Forcing, Negative/Responsive/Maximal Doubles, Defense vs. No Trump Openers (Cappaletti, DONT, Brozel), Overcalls and Responses, Opening Preempts, Michaels, Slam Conventions (Gerber, Blackwood, 1430, Minorwood, Exclusion Blackwood, ROPI, DOPI, DEPO), Defensive Carding (Standard, Odd-Even, Upside Down, Attitude/Count/Suit Preference).
These lessons can be offered as a package or as individual "need-to-know" lessons.
The cost for these lesson packages and individual lessons varies with location (we will come to your location or host the lessons), number of students, and lesson frequency.
Lessons and lesson packages include notes, quizzes, practice hands, and may include mentor sessions as well.
