  • Biographical Information

I've been orienteering since 1984. At that time I represented the Royal Engineers at events in Germany. After a break from the sport in the early '90's I moved to Canada and began orienteering in Nova Scotia. I completed a mapping course and learnt fieldwork techniques and drawing maps with a light table. In 2001 I found out about MapStudio, a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator® and found out that making maps on a computer is much less tedious than hand drawing colour separations. My first map, the M.A.R.C. Dayspring, was completed in January 2002.
