THE MYSTERIOUS HOLLOWAY ALBUM

Last year I was contacted by a woman in Ohio who had purchased an old photo album in a second hand book store; she had no connection with the album or the people in the photos but she was afraid it might get thrown out and lost forever.  There was a typewritten list in the front of the album identifying the people in the photos so using these names she searched the internet until she finally happend upon Pat Tuffin's family tree on Rootsweb.  Through him, she got in touch with me and after many emails and discussions with my sister we finally decided that the people in the album were almost certainly photos of the family of George and Mary Jane (nee Whittle) Holloway so we purchased the album.  The album suggests that George and Mary Jane's sons, Edwin George and Albert Walter, emigrated to the US, probably some time in the 1880's.  This page contains some of the photos in that album; few of the photos were dated.

Group 3
Left: This was among some "loose" photos in the Album; although not identified, we think it could be a photo of E. G.'s brother, Walter.
